Justin Tyme!

Oh balls.
I'm a quarter of the way done with my life (with a generalization using 100 years being a full life).
Today I turn 25.
I remember in high school and college thinking about what my life would be like when I was this age. I definitely wasn't expecting to be where I am today. Partying with friends was probably my number one priority and I never expected myself to find a group of individuals that could be such a positive influence on me during my early 20's.
I met Ashley when I was 21, and I remember how much of a typical cocky college bro I was and somehow she still found me tolerable to spend time with (and apparently good enough to marry). She introduced me to this wonderful sport and community back in August of 2011 when she had me tag along to my first WOD at the old gym.
Front Squats and Ring Push Ups. Simple movements, although I had never squatted before in my life. Grant saw my pathetic, knees forward squat where I was all up on my toes and he looked over at Ashley, wondering what the hell she was thinking bringing me in there.
Within one year, Grant and Ashley formed me into a decent athlete, but it was Grant's ambition and Ashley's maturity that led me to be placed in the role I am today.
I am lucky enough to run the best CrossFit facility in the area, if not the state, and train with amazing athletes that helped me get to the pinnacle of our sport's achievements, compete at the CrossFit Games.
So many of you have helped me get to where I am today and I am so thankful for it. Whether it was because you pushed me to go harder on a WOD or challenged me to make a positive change for our community in the gym, I am where I am today because of all of you.
All in all, I just wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you for giving me the best birthday present a guy could ever ask for. I couldn't ask for a better group of 200 friends 🙂
